This is a short video about boating safety from Michael Hanrahan, a Lecturer at UCSB, that was filmed here in our harbor and the local Channel Islands. The United States Power Squadrons and BoatUS Foundation are partners in promoting boating safety and the BoatUS website referred to in the film has links to USPS classes

This video was produced as a result of generous funding and support from the non-profit BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water, collaboration with TowBoatUS Ventura, the NOAA Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, and the United States Coast Guard. Our goal is to share with boaters the joys and wonders of visiting our beautiful National Marine Sanctuaries while doing everything possible to stay safe and protect these national treasures for all to enjoy. Please watch the video and share with as many people as possible so we can get the word out for people to come experience the wonders of the Sanctuaries, stay safe, and protect the environment. Thank you BoatUS Foundation for the funding and to everyone that spent time doing interviews, providing input, doing research, donating the use of several boats, filming, editing, and all the hard work it took to make this happen.
